An agricultural barn turned into a theatre is the setting for the Swaffham Bulbeck Summer Theatre production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience.
The group was formed back in 1982 and has staged a a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta in June ever since.
Patience has been staged twice previously in 1989 and 2002.
Together, the cast, orchestra and backstage crew number about 60 people. Although initially a village group, members now come from a wide area, as its reputation has grown over the years.
Patience, or Bunthorne’s Bride was the sixth operetta written by Gilbert and Sullivan and will be staged at Downing Fram in Swaffham Bulbeck from Wednesday until Saturday next week with evening performances at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinée at 2.30pm.
