Churchill Court, Newmarket opening of new play equipment

A £27,000 project providing play equipment at Newmarket’s Churchill Court and Icewell Hill has been officially opened.

The equipment, installed by housing association Flagship Housing in partnership with Norse and Action Play and Leisure. after consultation with residents, includes a climbing frame, play towers, swings, balance beams and park benches at Churchill Court and swings, balance beams and a springy horse at Icewell Hill.

“The objective for Churchill Court and Icewell Hill was to design adventure playgrounds for creative play.

“We wanted children to build upon their physical skills, gain confidence and grow, all whilst having a lot of fun outdoors,” said Flagship chairman, Peter Lakey.
