Accident appeal renewed

Police are renewing their appeal for information into a road accident on the A14 on Christmas Eve which led to the death of a Soham man.

Thomas Allen, 23, died in Ipswich Hospital on Christmas Day , after his vehicle was in collision with horses on the A14, near Sproughton, at about 10pm on Christmas Eve.

Three horses were also killed as a result of the accident.

“Police have spoken to a number of witnesses but are still keen to hear from anyone who has not yet come forward,” said a spokeswoman for Suffolk Police.

A 26-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of causing danger to road users. He has been bailed until February 28. Anyone with information should contact Pc Allie Cotton on 101.
