Midday with first foal by Galileo

Midday with first foal by Galileo

With his mum called Midday, this little chap’s arrival at Cheveley’s Banstead Manor Stud was timed to perfection just before noon on January 16.

Bred to be a champion, he is the first foal of the six-time Group 1 winner and a son of Galileo, sire of the great Frankel, who starts his new stallion career at the Juddmonte Farms stud next month.

General manager Philip Mitchell said: “Midday has taken to motherhood exceptionally well and we are delighted with her foal. She will now visit Frankel.”

This picture was captured by stud manager Simon Mockridge.
