Jewellery and cash raided from Newmarket home

Jewellery and cash were taken from a Newmarket home by thieves who are believed to have hopped a fence and smashed a pane of glass to gain entry.

The broken glass window was forced open at the burgled Cheveley Road house between Friday at 4pm and 10.20am yesterday.

Full details, including a value of the items taken, are being compiled.

Police are appealing for witnesses who should call the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with information.
