Competitors in this year’s Newmarket Heath race have raised more than £1,100 for the brain injury charity Headway. Greg Davis, from Newmarket Joggers which organised last month’s event is pictured presenting a cheque for £1,159 to Judi Marshall from the charity. “We are grateful to everyone who turned out for the race and to the Jockey Club for letting us use the heath and its staff for all their help,” said Greg. “Also a huge thank you to the racing industry, including the local studs , the British Racing School and vets for their continued support.”
The next Joggers’ event is the Newmarket 10K is on Sunday July 5 at the Ellesmere Centre, Stetchworth starting at 10am. There is also a supporting series of junior races. See Newmarket Joggers website for more details.
