A man has been seriously injured after falling from a horse on London Road in Six Mile Bottom.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call today (Monday, November 7) at 11.58am to reports of the fall and sent a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance from the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) charity.

At the scene the man, believed to be in his 40s, was treated for a serious pelvis injury after he fell from the horse which then fell on him.

He was given advanced pain relief by paramedics and the doctor on scene before being airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in a serious condition.
