A white-collar boxing promoter from Newmarket has handed over more than £3,000 to a children’s charity.

Eddie Guest, and co-promoter Becky Ross, presented Karen Newton from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each) a cheque for £3,505.77 at the end of last month.

The duo raised the cash through ticket sales, a raffle and a live auction during a white-collar fight night staged at The Guildhall in Cambridge back in June.

Later this month the pair will be aiming to collect more cash for charity when staging a similar show at Newmarket Leisure Centre.

The event, which will take place on Saturday, November 22, will raise funds for Racing Welfare. Tickets cost £20 each and can be booked by contacting Becky on 07825663928.
