Antiques and artworks belonging to a former stud owner in Newmarket are to go under the hammer on Saturday.

Items belonging to the late Dana Brudenell-Bruce, former owner of Snailwell Stud, are to be sold at a fine art and antiques sale at Lacy Scott and Knight in Bury St Edmunds.

Among the items up for sale are many reminders of the family’s seven decades of involvement in racing, including the 1928 Manchester Cup.

The 15 ct gold cup is expected to fetch in the region of £20,000 to £30,000.

Also up for sale is the 1970 Coronation Cup from Epsom and a number of oil paintings.
