Electric car chargers at restaurant

THE Little Chef restaurant chain has installed the first charging points for electric cars in Suffolk at its Newmarket North and Barton Mills North restaurants.

The facilities will allow fast charging for motorists to top up their cars of up to 7kW.

Denise Monk, manager of Little Chef’s Barton Mills North restaurant, said: “This is an exciting development for us here at Broadlands. The new electric vehicle charging points are absolutely in line with our views on sustainability and sourcing our food locally from suppliers.”

The service will be provided free of charge until December 2012.
