A NEWMARKET primary school has launched a photography competition, the winner of which could become an official photographer on the day the Olympic Torch comes through the town.

The Friends of St Louis Primary School are organising the competition for youngsters aged 16 and under, with the theme ‘A Celebration of Sport in your Community’.

It is part of a host of activities, which also include a Festival of Sport in May.

It will be judged by Photography Service 4 U.

Prizes include the chance to become Forest Heath District Council’s official junior photographer at the forthcoming Newmarket Olympic Torch relay celebrations.
