Racing staff looking for help or advice can take advantage of a new service which is now up and running in Newmarket.

Racing Welfare, in partnership with the Racing Centre, is providing confidential and impartial support during special drop-in sessions being held from 11am to 3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the newly refurbished facilities in Fred Archer Way.

Advice will be available on topics ranging from accidents and injuries to debts and benefits, relationships and bereavement.

Rachel Cawley, Racing Welfare’s communications executive, said: “The idea is to give more staff access to our services and give the racing Centre another string to its bow. There will be welfare officers there and it’s designed to work for people in the industry.”
