A woman caught drink driving twice in two weeks has been jailed for 16 weeks.
Lynne Rumsey, 45,of Lion Green, Barrow, appeared before magistrates on Thursday and pleaded guilty to two offences in which she was almost four times the legal limit.
She was arrested by police on Monday June 2 after they received information that a woman driving a red Rover Metro appeared to be intoxicated. When they spoke to her in Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds she refused to get out of the car and became hostile say police. She was arrested and charged with driving with 130 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath and bailed.
On June 11 police say they attended an incident in Bury Road, Newmarket where a red Metro had collided with a parked car.
A breath test in custody showed Rumsey had 136 micrograms of alcohol to 100 millitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Magistrates jailed her and also banned her from driving for four years.
