The case of two teenagers accused of setting fire to Exning Primary School has been sent to Ipswich Crown Court due to its seriousness.

The 16-year-old and 17-year-old girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Bury St Edmunds Youth Court today, Tuesday November 3.

The two teenagers were arrested following the arson attack in the early hours of Friday September 4.

The girls will appear at Ipswich Crown Court on November 19 at 10am and were released on bail on the grounds not to contact each other and not to go to Exning.

The cost of the damage to the school is thought to be around £200,000.
