Members of staff at the Ely branch of Wilko have raised more than £300 for their charity partner Prostate Cancer UK after holding a Halloween themed event.

The team at The Cloisters store collected the cash after staging the two-day event, which saw staff swap their usual red uniforms for fangs, capes and masks, at the end of last month.

“We are really thrilled that our Halloween fundraiser was such a success,” said Jo Walsh, store manager.

“We got spines tingling and raised some much needed funds for our charity partner.”

Mark Bishop, director of funding at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “We are really grateful to the team in Ely for arranging this fang-tastic fundraiser for the charity.”
