Police are appealing for a member of the public who reported a suspected drink driver at the Tesco store at Fordham Road in Newmarket to come forward after an arrest was made.
A 68-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving on Saturday 16 April after a member of the public – a Tesco customer – reported suspicious behaviour to staff at the store around 7am that morning.
Police were alerted after staff located the man but unfortunately no details of the member of the public who originally reported the incident were obtained. Officers would like to speak to the person involved and are asking him to come forward.
If this was you, or if you have any information that may help, please call PC David Button at Suffolk Police by dialling 101 and quoting CAD number 47 of April 16.
The 68-year-old, from Cambridgeshire, has been bailed to return to police on May 21, pending further enquiries.
