A gang of men attempted to extort money from a Suffolk village resident yesterday, Wednesday May 18.

Police were alerted just after 7.20pm yesterday to reports three men had gone to an address in the Eriswell Road/Eldon Lane area of Holywell Row at around 6.40pm and had been shouting outside the property.

It appears the men were trying to get the resident to handover money. No entry had been gained to the home but police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any unusual activity in the area between around 6pm and 7.30pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area between these times, anyone who may have seen three men in the vicinity or anyone who may have noticed any vehicles that may be linked to the incident.

If you can help please call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting crime number 33961/16.
