Newmarket woman guilty of causing death by careless driving given a community order

A woman who pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving has been given a community order.

Clare Butler, 36, of Granary Road, Newmarket, was given the 12-month community order, 100 hours unpaid work and a 12-month driving ban at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday (Monday, April 11).

Butler was driving her Ford Focus when it was in collision with an Audi 80 and a JCB on the B1061 Bradley Road, Burrough Green on March 16 last year (2015).

Rear seat passenger of the Audi, 23-year-old Sebestian Andrzej Chlebosz, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
