Police in Mildenhall are appealing for witnesses after four vans were broken into by having front quarter-light windows smashed.
The incidents all happened overnight between Tuesday and yesterday.
The first theft occurred in Emmanuel Close, where a Vauxhall Vivaro had a Samsung Galaxy tablet stolen from inside. Following this, in Rowan Walk, another Vauxhall van was searched but no items were stolen.
In Peterhouse Close a Ford Transit was entered and a number of items were stolen including a Stihl chainsaw and three DeWalt drills.
The final incident took place in Hornbeam Road where a Vauxhall Vivaro van was broken into and again a number of items of equipment were stolen including three CCTV cameras, two DeWalt drills and an assortment of hand tools.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact PC Louise Wappett-Griggs at Mildenhall Police Station on 101, quoting reference MH/14/417, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Police have renewed a warning to drivers to always remove property from inside their vehicles where possible. If for any reason tools and equipment have to be left in vans, it is advised to store them within a fixed and secure strongbox.
