A man has been jailed for more than two years after being found in possession of drugs.

While executing a warrant at Daniel Fielding’s home in Balland Field, Willingham on July 22, 2015, officers discovered a bin liner concealed in a hedge in the back garden.

Inside the liner they found cocaine with a street value of approximately £1,150, MDMA tablets (also known as ecstasy) worth up to £2,000, a knuckle duster and self-defence spray canisters.

The 28-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of a Class B drug, two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid.

Fielding pleaded guilty to all offences and was sentenced to a total of 30 months imprisonment at Cambridge Crown Court on February 16.

Chief Inspector Donna Wass said: “This prosecution should reassure the public that our focus on drug offending remains strong and we will continue to deal with the matters that our communities care about. If anyone has information or concerns about drugs in their area they can call us on 101.”
