Four arrested after man was mugged in Newmarket yesterday

A man was assaulted and robbed by four men as he was walking in Newmarket yesterday, Tuesday.

The 50-year-old victim was walking along the Yellow Brick Road near Rayes Lane at around 6pm, when he was surrounded by four males who assaulted him and stole cash and a bank card from his pockets.

Following initial police enquires three men and a teenage boy have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of robbery this afternoon, Wednesday November 4.

The males are all from Newmarket and aged 38, 31, 18 and 16. They are currently being held for questioning at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.
