Appeal after woman has bank card stolen in Newmarket High Street distraction theft

Police for witnesses to come forward after a woman as the victim of a distraction theft in Newmarket.

On Tuesday, May 24, at approximately 12.45pm, two men approached a woman using a cashpoint on the High Street and distracted her at the machine, taking her card and possibly passing it to a third person in a nearby vehicle.

The suspects are described as two black males and one of the men is described as approximately 6 foot tall.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who may have been approached in a similar manner.
