Motorist charged after crash

A MOTORIST from Newmarket has been charged with drink driving after his car crashed into a road barrier.

Mark Flynn, 29, was arrested after the single-vehicle crash, which involved a red Jaguar.

The crash happened at 2.20pm in Newmarket on the A1304, off junction 38 of the A11.

A section of the A11, around the traffic lights in the area, was temporarily closed as police cleared the road of minor debris.

Mr Flynn, of Fairlawns, Newmarket, will appear at West Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Bury St Edmunds on Friday, January 20, charged with driving a motor vehicle with excess alcohol.
