Police are reminding staff to be vigilant after counterfeit notes were used in a shop in Newmarket.

At around 6pm on Tuesday (September 1), two men entered the store in High Street and selected items of clothing, then paid separately for the goods using counterfeit notes. One of the notes was a fake Royal Bank of Scotland £20 note.

The first man is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build, short blonde hair and was wearing a white T-shirt with black sleeves.

The second man is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, of thin build, with short dark hair and was wearing a green T-shirt and black jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting reference NE/15/1520.
