West Suffolk College, in Bury St Edmunds, is offering young people the chance to acquire useful work experience, CV advice and a job reference through a new traineeship scheme.

The 13-week course is part of a wider Government project to help young people into employment and is being offered to those aged 16-24 who are not currently studying or in a job.

It will offer work preparation training, English, maths and high quality work placements.

Nick Stevens, head of employability and traineeships, said: “Sometimes the jump from school into full time work can be very difficult and this course aims to give a helping hand.”
