A charity which provides support for young people in and leaving care is set to receive a financial boost thanks to an activity park near Newmarket.
Wildtracks at Chippenham has been supporting a different charity annually and over the five years the initiative has been running has made donations totalling several thousand pounds.
The recipient of this year’s fundraising is The Who Cares? Trust. “The Who Cares? Trust does very valuable work and it is a pleasure to support them in 2015,” said John Gorst, owner of WildTracks. He confirmed that WildTracks employed a number of young people who have been in care and valued them highly as employees.
The company is also financially and practically supportive of agencies bringing young people in care to the site to enjoy the activities. It has yet to be decided which form this year’s fundraising will take and a number of options are being considered but it is likely to include some karting and a meal in the new American diner which has just opened at WildTracks.
