East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) will transform Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds, into a multi-coloured scene when its Bury Colour Dash returns in September.
Colour dashes see participants race around a 5km course as they are showered with clouds of coloured powder.
They are the newest craze to hit the UK and EACH’s inaugural event last year was a sell out, with 1,000 runners taking part in the fiesta of colour.
Online registration is now open for this year’s event and anyone wanting to take part is urged to sign up quickly before tickets sell out.
Hannah Walker, EACH Suffolk community fund-raiser, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing our colour dash back to Nowton Park for the second year.
“Last year Bury was our biggest colour dash with 1,000 people taking part – we know this year will be even more popular so please book early to avoid disappointment.
“These events are such an impressive sight and great fun for all the family. It’s not a race, you can run, jog or walk the 5km route – just be prepared to be covered in colourful powered paint by our ‘colour pirates’.”
EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across the region and supports their families. All Bury Colour Dash funds will go towards providing its vital services.
The event will start at 11am on September 11.
Tickets cost £20 for adults and £10 for children aged between five to 16. Under fives go free and a family ticket costs £45.
Teams can take part for £17.50 per person but must have a minimum of 10 people.
