PLASTIC ducks took over the village of Exning as it held its second annual duck race.
The event, which was organised by the village's Christian Aid group, saw more than 200 plastic ducks take part in five races held on the river behind St Martin's Church.

Jan Ludgrove, event organiser, said: "The day was very well attended and everyone was so keen on racing their ducks. It got very competitive and we had some very close finishes."

Participants had the chance to win prizes ranging from Woolworths vouchers through to meals at the village's Rosery hotel and Wheatsheaf pub.

Vistors also had the chance to try their hand on a selection of side stalls.

Mrs Ludgrove added: "The prizes proved extremely popular as did the side stalls, especially the lucky dip.

"We managed to raise more than £400 in total, which we were all really pleased with."

Organisers are now planning for next year's event.
