Six arrested after late-night brawl

SIX people were arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm after a brawl off Newmarket High Street during the early hours of Sunday.
Two men were assaulted in the attack. One was treated for bruising and the other for cuts after smashing through a shop shop window at around 3.15am.

Five 18-year-old men, all from Newmarket, and one 20-year-old man, also from Newmarket, were arrested in connection with the incident, which happened near Ladbrokes betting shop in Old Station Road.

They have since been released on police bail and will return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on July 8 and 9.
