A MAN has been charged with a series of sex attacks on children, including one on a 12-year-old girl in a Newmarket cafe.
Nicholas Gill, 34, of The Street in Barrow, was charged with five counts of sexual assaults on children, all aged 12 and under at the time of alleged incidents, when he answered bail on Thursday.

The incidents involved in the charges are alleged to have happened at the Baker's Oven in Newmarket High Street and Waterstone's book store in Bury St Edmunds in October last year; at the Warehouse Clearance Store and WH Smith in Bury St Edmunds in April this year and in Barrow in 2006.

The alleged Newmarket incident took place at about 1pm on October 3 when a 12-year-old girl was waiting for a member of her family outside the toilets in the Baker's Oven.

Gill is due to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, May 20.
