BURWELL Parish Council is planning a new, updated, format for its annual meeting on Tuesday.
Parishioners are being asked to go along and look at plans and schemes for the village for the coming year before having the chance to give their opinions or ask questions about the matters that affect them.

"We have a lot of exciting things going on in the village this year," said Jackie Peavot, who chairs the council.

"Our Tan House Lane hall is to be rebuilt after an arson attack, so plans for that will be on show.

"We will also be showing our ideas for a traffic safety scheme for part of the village, a new nature reserve, Pauline's Swamp, plus a consultation on new facilities at the village sport centre and much more."

Venue for the annual meeting will be the Gardiner Memorial Hall in Burwell on Tuesday and villagers are welcome to drop in and view plans or talk to their parish, district and county councillors from 6.30pm onwards.

For more details contact the parish clerk, Lesley Reader on: 01638 743142.
