CUSTOMERS at a Wickhambrook public house plan to bungee jump from a 200ft crane to raise money for a range of charities.
About 40 people will be leaping from a platform high above the car park at the Greyhound among them landlord Stuart Smith who has been offered £500 sponsorship to perform the feat "in a state of undress".

"A customer has promised £500 if I do the jump backwards, wearing only a thong, so I guess people will pay to see that, " said Stuart

Each jumper must raise at least £60 of which £50 pays for the jump and £10 goes to charity, but Stuart expects each person to raise much more and has set a target of £2,000.

Jumping will take place between noon and 2pm on Sunday, September 7, and anyone wishing to take part can contact Stuart on 01440 820548 for more information or just turn up and pay on the day.
