A 10-year-old boy injured in a collision with a car on Saturday in Red Lodge is in a stable condition in hospital.
It is thought Aaron Bettoney was riding his bike when he was involved in a collision with a dark coloured Mercedes car on Magnolia Close.
He suffered serious head injuries and had been put on a life support machine at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
Police confirmed that his condition was no longer life-threatening.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said an investigation into the accident was under way.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance arrived at the collision at around 4pm and airlifted the boy to hospital.
An eyewitness said the road was closed for nearly three hours while emergency crews were at the scene.
