THE Mildenhall branch of the Royal British Legion will be celebrating Veterans Day at the end of the month.
On Thursday, June 26, the evening before Veterans Day, the group will gather in the town's social club to listen to music by Pat James.

He will perform songs from artists including Elvis, The Hollies, Cliff Richard and country legends Jim Reeves and Don Williams.

There will also be the chance to sing along to a Dads Army tribute medley.

The evening, which starts at 7.30pm, includes a finger buffet and raffle.

Tickets cost £7.50 and are available from Colin Plowright on 01638 718236.

On Friday, June 27, legion members will take part in a Veterans Day parade from the social club at 10.15am to the war memorial, where a short ceremony of thanksgiving and prayers will be held.

Anyone is welcome to attend both events.
