GREAT Heath Primary School ended the school year on a high after seeing its nurture group pick up the Majorie Boxall Quality Mark Award.
The award, handed out to nurture groups who meet the highest standards of care and education, is the first of its kind to be given to a school in Suffolk.
A network assessor said: "This is an excellent, well established group with very effective staff."
Formed for the school's younger pupils, the idea of the group is to give a more personalised approached to learning.
The Mildenhall school joins an elite band of less than 50 schools nationwide who have achieved a similar status.
