WEST Row Post Office has temporarily stopped dealing with financial transactions.
Royal Mail officials are carrying out an investigation following an audit at the branch at the end of last month.

All financial transactions, including pension and benefit payments, are being dealt with at the village's nearest branch in Mildenhall until further notice.

Jane Warriner, spokeswoman for Royal Mail, said: "The Post Office was closed following an audit on March 23. Investigations are continuing and we hope to resume services in the area as soon as possible.

"However, there are also four other post offices less than three miles away in Beck Row, Isleham and Mildenhall for customers to use in the meantime. We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused."

Sarah Carter, shopkeeper at West Row village store, said: "We are still in operation but are offering only a limited service."
