MEMBERS of the Mildenhall branch of the Royal British Legion visited the National Memorial Arboretum last week.
Organised by branch member Peter Hole, 46 people travelled to Staffordshire to visit the 150-acre memorial and remember those killed in battle.

Members attended a morning service before dedicating a plaque and tree funded by the branch.

"The memorial area is vast, easily the size of our own air base," said branch secretary Colin Plowright.

The Arboretum was established in 1997 and already contains 130 memorials of national significance.
