CHILDREN from West Row Primary School received an insight into different cultures when two guests dropped by for the school's multicultural day.
Pupils were visited by Jess Smith and Vinaya Kulkani, who talked about travelling culture and hinduism.
Headteacher Geraldine Cianthar said: "The idea of the day was to show the children that there are lots of different cultures in Britain and that many of them are quite local to them."
The youngsters got the chance to make their own rangoli patterns and try on saris, as well as listen to various stories.
Mrs Cianthar added: "The children really enjoyed listening to Jess tell her stories and enjoyed the hands-on experience of making their own rangoli patterns. By the end of the day, they were exhausted."
Pupils also looked at a range of other cultures from across the globe, including aboriginal art from Australia and a selection of different dances from Africa.
