LAKENHEATH Fen is holding its own nature olympics on Saturday.
Families are encouraged to visit the event to take part in a number of activities and discover some athletic feats achieved by birds, animals and insects.

Kirsty Nutt, RSPB information officer, said: "You can discover nature's record breakers, find out which animal might win gold in the synchronised swimming by doing a little pond-dipping and check up on our local barn owls to see if they have been keeping to a strict sporting diet by dissecting their pellets."

The free event runs from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

Other family activities will also be held at Lakenheath Fen throughout the school holidays until the end of August, including a prize trial and craft day.
