A WOMAN from West Row has raised £600 from a charity parachute jump.
Michelle Peacock organised the 12,000ft jump to raise money for the MS Society because her mother Dawn suffers from the condition, which causes muscle weakness and problems with mobility.

"Mum came on the day. I think she was more nervous than me," said Michelle, 21 who lives with her parents and two younger brothers.

Michelle is a qualified accountant working at Whiting and Partners in Bury St Edmunds.

"I left my sponsorship form in the canteen at work for people to donate and raised about £140 pounds from that," she said.

"My mum is a librarian at Riverside Middle School and raised money as well."

Michelle, who is now planning to do another jump, said her friends had also caught the parachuting bug and she hoped they might have a go at freefalling together.
