MILDENHALL Cycling Club celebrated London becoming the Olympic Games host city by parading one of more than 500 official handover flags on Sunday afternoon.
Fifteen-year-old Jodie Brumhead and 14-year-olds Hannah Payton and Sam Connolley were given the honour of parading the flag around the club's grasstrack at Riverside Middle School during the club's 22nd annual cycling rally.

Mark Burchett, event organiser, said: "We were pleased to welcome councillor Malcolm Smith, vice-chairman of Forest Heath Council, and were thrilled that the Mildenhall Cycling Rally had been chosen to celebrate the Olympic handover."

The three teenagers were selected to carry the flag after having been the fastest boys and girls in the 14 years and over age category in the children's duathlon earlier in the day.
