Children turn crime detectives

YOUNGSTERS at Beck Row Primary School arrived at their library to find a crime scene.
But thankfully it was only a specially organised mock-up and children were quickly on the case to find the culprit – one of the school's very own teachers.

The youngsters took on the role of Horatio Caine in a CSI-style investigation as they got the chance to analyse finger prints, hair samples and examine dirt and ph tests.

Police community support officers Jason Thomas and Terry Joynson were on hand to talk to the children about crime detection.

They managed to solve the crime and the finger was pointed at school teacher Stuart Fidler, who stole one of the school's computers.
