Ramblers turn back the clock

Newmarket Ramblers will turn the clock back a quarter of a century for their walk on Sunday.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Knettishall Heath nature reserve, near Thetford, has been regularly visited by the group and Sunday’s 11-mile walk is based on the original one, 25 years ago, and will be led, as then, by Phil, who can be contacted for further information on 01638 751289. Members are asked to meet at the car park, at the eastern end of the reserve for a 10am start.

Also programmed for Sunday is a four-and-a-half mile walk starting from the Exning war memorial at 10am.

The walk will be led by Pat, who can be contacted on 01638 602599, and will take in Landwade.

Wednesday morning’s five-mile walk, also with a 10am start, is from the car park near Weeting school.

Further information is available from leader Phil on 01638 751289.
