Photographer guest speaker at Fellowship meeting

GUEST speaker at this month’s meeting of the Newmarket group of The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship was photographer Trevor Burlingham.

His talk about the discovery of a Victorian “magic lantern” in a Norfolk Church was illustrated with pictures taken in the 1900s, using copies from the original magic lantern slides.

Next meeting is on Wednesday, March 14, at 2.15pm in The St John Ambulance Room at Newmarket Hospital, when Peter Carter will talk about the life of an eel catcher.
