PUPILS at a Mildenhall primary school have been getting to grips with new playground equipment.
The installation of a new climbing frame at St Mary’s Church of England Academy is the first phase of a new grounds development programme at the Trinity Avenue school.
Funding for the first part of the project, which is believed to have cost more than £25,000, has come from a £15,000 grant from Mildenhall Parish Council and about £4,000 from the school’s Parents in Partnership group.
“Working together with the school council, we believe we have selected a piece of equipment that will help aid the academy in light of its future growth in the number of pupils,” said Wendy Garrard, headteacher.
