The award-winning Ellesmere Devils take to the boards this month for their annual pantomime.

Jammin’ – The Panto is set in the wacky land of Jam Acre where trouble is brewing over the secret recipe for Henry Logg’s jam.

Presided over by Bob the Rasta Fairy, the story follows the fortunes and misfortunes of Ebenezer Grunge and his daft sidekicks Bodger and Kreepe as they attempt to steal the secret recipe.

Dame Lucy Lastic, her hapless son Silly Billy and his hungry dog Marley, unite with the Jammy

Dodgers and villagers to thwart Grunge’s cunning plans. Hero Tom Quicksilver and pretty Anna Logg add the love interest and there is not one, but two, weddings to round things off.

There are five performances at the Ellesmere Centre, Stetchworth, between Wednesday, January 30, and Saturday, February 2, including a Saturday matinée.

Tickets are £7 and £8.50 and are available from the box office. Email ellesmerepanto@hotmail.co.uk or call 01638 507711 or 01638 508212.
