Members of Newmarket Lions were in Burwell on Tuesday to present their share of the proceeds of a charity motor show held last summer to the village branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The motor show, which was held at Newmarket Racecourse, was organised by the Lion’s Clubs of Newmarket, Cambridge, and Ely, supported by the newly formed Littleport Lions Club.
Chris Rawlinson, of Newmarket Lions, said: “Most of the car dealerships in the area support us and are looking forward to this year’s show on Sunday, June 24.”
Newmarket Lions chosen charity was the Alzheimer’s Society and the club decided to split its £2,500 share of the profit between the Newmarket and Burwell branches.
