IT IS becoming more and more obvious that the number of empty homes is increasing on Studlands Park as USAF fails to reoccupy them.
This is obviously a matter of great concern to those on the housing waiting list or occupying sub-standard accommodation in the area.

At the same time as 371 houses fall empty, the local development framework working group discussed the prospect of a further 1,000 homes around the Hatchfield Farm area.

It is imperative that with this valuable housing stock available, Forest Heath Council takes all available steps to engage with Persimmon Homes – which it appears may own the properties – USAF and various housing associations to seek a prompt resolution to this situation.
