Plans are the design of some greedy developer

I AM writing to complain about Unex's proposed scheme in Newmarket after viewing a number of drawings in a window at Rutland Chambers in the High Street.
The proposed hotel is enormous and positioned directly behind two listed buildings. This is backland development and would result in over-development of the site.
Meanwhile, the proposed cinema and bowling alley is positioned within a few metres of the existing terraced houses and would cause huge sound issues.
The whole development, which includes a 700-space car park, is on one of Newmarket's busiest junctions and is not viable traffic-wise.
Proposals to fill Fitzroy paddocks with a car park and housing would be detrimental to one of the town centre's old paddock lands. It would be a shame for Queensbury Lodge and stables to be ruined with a monstrous carbuncle, especially as a hotel of the same size will soon be developed at the other end of the High Street.
The plans give no consideration to nearby housing or traffic issues and are obviously the design of some greedy developer wanting to build to the extremities of each of the sites with the minimum of circulation space.
