The fire at St Felix Middle School is both shocking and devastating. The school is highly regarded by current and former pupils, staff and parents.
We would like to take this opportunity to reassure everybody that the county council will be working very hard over the next days and weeks to find the most suitable alternative arrangements for pupils and staff. This has been a great shock to all.

It is a major blow to the Newmarket community but our sights are now fixed firmly on exploring how we can best serve the pupils and staff in time for the new term.

We will be making sure everyone is kept informed with progress reports via the local media and the Suffolk County Council website.
